All people have things that they really want to achieve. For example, there might be traveling through the space, go to good universities, do scuba diving, or have a good habit. I have some things that I really want to achieve. It is unlimited but I listed few things that I really, truly want to achieve. The first one is that I want to study hard and go to Seoul National University. Seoul National University is a public university and it is very cheaper than other universities in Korea or overseas. Also, when we try hard and study, minding that we can do it, I think I can so this. Studying is also very good for you until you die.
The second one is to travel through the space. I am quite interested in space so I want to see what really space looks like and touch the ground. I also want to jump and fly in the moon! I will count how many seconds that I can fly in there. I also want to meet aliens that scientists didn't really figured out yet and I will keep that in secret to keep aliens safe.
Third, I want to be infinitive and so as my families including my cousins because I want to live and not die. Everyone does not want to die and I will make the medicine that doesn't die and does not make us old and only take it to my families, not sell. We can not feel the sadness of dieing. I want to see the future times with my young age with my parents and family.
Fourth, I want to travel all around the world. I want to travel, meet other people who has different traditions and experience all those countries' cultures. In that way, I can be happy and proud of myself that I've traveled all around the world. Also, I can think and remember what I saw and experienced in which country. That kind of thing can remind me what I did and can enjoy and spend time when I am very bored.
Fifth, I want to buy all Lego Chima series especially, I want to get the lions and gorillas' whole vehicles and speedorz.
Because I like animals and I like Lego and the Lego and animals' combination so I definitely love Chima. I also watched most of the episodes that Lego made and this is one of the episodes.
I like the story of the legends of Chima and it is very good.
Sixth, I want to learn how to snowboard. I learned and know how to ski and I am very good at skiing. However, other friends said like "I learned snowboarding" and I am very envy. Also, snowboarding is now famous in Korea so when I went to an outlet to buy ski clothes, there wasn't any ski clothes and just snowboard clothes or snowboard equipments.
Seventh, I want to swim in world's biggest swimming pool. It is in the southwestern coast in Chile and it is like a sea but isn't. We can ride our boats in there, too and has a good
hotel. It seems like it is very warm and I want to swim in the warm water.
Finally, I want to ride a hot air balloon. I really want to fly and I have a lot of experiences flying in an airplane but I don't have any experiences in hot air balloon. I want to feel and look down the land from high place. It'll be fun and I might not forget that memory.
When I was in the fifth grade, I went to Philippines for my English skills. I went there for 3 months and that's a lot. So, my mom, who is really bad at English, went with me. I studied a lot in there, more than 9 hours a day but we also played and had an amazing trips that we cannot really experience in Korea. We went to trip and ate delicious foods on the weekends.
At the first day of Philippines, November twenty-fifth, 2012, the instructor of the home stay took me and mom, and other students to a restaurant but I don't know the name of it. It has a good view of golf fields so, we enjoyed the views and ate some meat and Philippines' traditional foods. The traditional foods didn't really matched to me because I am Korean.
The next trip was to the Ttakakitai. It was December eighth, 2012.
It is a volcano mountain where we can ride horses to the mountain.To go to mountain, we should ride a boat for awhile. It was very safety. My mom first tried to ride the horse, but because the horse growl, my mom was very scared and didn't ride it. But, I rode it because I really like horse from when I was young.
The next trip was to the Paksanghan. It was a very interesting place because we ride some canoes to go up to river. The workers there hold the canoe and pull the canoe to go against the flow of the river water. That was very fun, and we met some Koreans there and it was very glad to see them. This was the second trip in Philippines and it was December twenty second, 2012. When we arrive at the top, we can ride the raft to the huge waterfall and the rafts men row the raft through the huge waterfall falling from the high cliff, and it was a lot of fun! But our head is bumping because of the gravity of the water.
This was the most longest trip in Philippines which we went to Matabbunkai, the sea, and there, we slept one night! At the first day, we took the rafted house(under the picture). The sea is really shallow that it only reaches until our knees. We were trying to do the snorkeling, too but we didn't have any time. At night, we showed our special skills but I didn't do because I was shy. Actually, it was the last day of 2012, so we could see a lot of, huge fireworks and mom and I was happy but we missed dad because we couldn't get together at the end of the year.
At the most of the end of the Philippines camp, we went to a restaurant and that restaurant was very interesting. It was a buffet but has water under our feet. We were not hot because we had our feet in the water. The food was also very delicious because there was like barbecue and meat. It was so cool and very interesting.
The trip in the Philippines was very interesting and exciting. Mom and I had a lot of experience that we couldn't experience in Korea. I missed my dad but it was fun in Philippines. I will miss the friends whom I met there and teachers I met. I think I couldn't forget the memories in there.
I watched the 3D movie " Frozen" which is now released. And I want to tell you some things of it and my opinion to you. The movie's genre is "character animation" It is made on the end of the 2013 and it is quite based on the book "Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Andersen. The film director of the film is Jennifer Lee.
There are the main characters. Anna, who is the princess of Arendelle, Elsa, who is the queen of Arendelle, an ice seller Kirstoff, and his rain deer, Sven, Olaf, the snowman, and Hans, who seems like a good man but isn't and so on. Now, let me tell you the story of the film.
There was Elsa and Anna, who are princesses of Arendelle. Elsa can control the snow and ice and while the sisters were playing with snow and ice, Elsa accidentally hurt Anna's head with the cold ice and Anna became very cold. Their parents, the king and queen of Arendelle, went to trolls to get some help. Troll said," they can cure the magic, but Anna's memory of the magic, happy and joy should be erased."From then on, Elsa should live in locked in the palace. That means, Elsa only lives in her room, not letting others and only Anna can live in the outside because she is original.
They constantly live like that for 10 years until their parents die. Parents died because while they are going to somewhere, riding a ship, they met a huge storm. Finally, when coronation day, Elsa, who is the firstborn daughter of the King and Queen, became the queen of Arendelle. People should see her so they opened the palace's gate.
And she had to take off her gloves that prevented her magic. During that time, Anna was liking Hans, and they wanted to marry. They told to Elsa to permit their marrying, however, Elsa refused that saying that marrying people who just met is not good. Because Anna knows nothing about Elsa's magic power, she took off Elsa's gloves while convincing. Elsa, who could not control her power, accidentally used her power and show to the citizens of Arendelle. Elsa runs away to the Northern Mountains and builds a huge, ice castle. She felt free that she can show her power, freely, not supervised by anyone. Even though she was free in her castle, she didn't really know that she turned the surrounded areas, including Arendelle, into winter. Anna wanted to find Elsa so she left Arendelle, leave Hans charge of Arendelle. Other people including Hans said to Anna that going to Elsa is dangerous and she is dangerous. However, she believed her sister, Elsa that she is a kind woman and will turn Arendelle back to summer. While she was going to find Elsa, on Han's horse, she meets Kirstoff who is an ice seller and his rain deer, Sven. Anna suggest and convince Kirstoff to go with her by giving some carrots for Sven. During riding a sled, wolves attacked them but they closely safe but his sled was fallen down to the cliff. She said she will buy him a new one. While she was going, she also meets Olaf, which is a snowman who wants to see summer. Olaf was alive because Elsa made him alive with her magic power. They got to the castle and Anna went inside on her own, not allowing others to go in.
Elsa was not happy that Anna is going into the castle because she might hurt Anna with her magic power. Also, she knew that she made Arendelle winter and was very surprised. So, she was trying to get Anna out of her castle, she accidentally attacked Anna's heart with ice. Anna was very cold, she was freezing and her hair turned white as her sister. They didn't went out
faster, so she also made a giant ice snow monster and the monster was attacking. In that time, Hans and his soldiers were attacking Elsa's castle to kill Elsa. But, the monster was waiting for them and Hans and soldiers fought with monster and win.
However, Elsa protected by herself by shooting her ice magic power to the soldiers and they turned back. Meanwhile, Kirstoff took Anna to the trolls. After they saw Anna's situation, they said only her true love can cure this. Kirstoff believed that Hans was her true love and take her to Hans immediately. However, Hans tell Anna his plan and doesn't kiss and turned off the fire with water. He went out leaving her in the freezing room.
After that, Olaf came in and again put the fire and tells to Anna that Kirstoff really liked her. There was a huge snow storm and Kirstoff went to Anna to save her and Anna went to Kirstoff to meet her true love, believing true love is him. But, Anna saw that her sister, Elsa is in danger, and went to save her.
When, Hans was just trying to kill Elsa with his sword, Anna protected Elsa by freezing her body. Elsa hugged Anna, and the storm started to stop and Anna's frozen body started to melt. Her true love was her sister, Elsa! The weather dramatically changed into summer. Hans was punished and went into jail and Elsa put Olaf, his personal snow cloud not to melt in a hot summer.
Anna kissed with Kirstioff. Elsa and Anna promised not to close the gate again, and lived happily ever after.
At first, I thought it is just a sci-fi movie like because of the global warming, there might be a disaster like all of the world are actually " FROZEN" but it was an animation film that has an interesting story. While during the movie, I thought that the true love of Anna was Hans , but Elsa was right. Marrying a person who just met is not good at all. If Anna marries with Hans, she might be very suffering and might die because of Hans's plan. I really like surprising things and this story is surprising so I really liked the story and enjoyed watching the film. I could also know what is a real romance. I thought the true love is the other sex, but the true love is our own family and brothers or sisters. Usually, at the end of the Disney movies, they always kiss but this movie wasn't. What I could learn leadership in this movie was the sacrificing to others. Anna sacrificed her for her sister, Elsa. When Hans was almost kill Elsa, Anna suddenly became the ice and protected Elsa. That's the real same as the actual. If we sacrifice to others, others might be feeling good to us and they might follow us because we sacrificed to them. Also, if we are in a not good situation, they might sacrifice to us because to requite us. That's the actual leadership.
Hi I'm Tommy and I'm twice in GLPS camp. Most of you have your own things that others don't know. So am I. I have three things that you don't actually know. Thus I want to share that things with you. First, it is that I went five English camps including twice of the GLPS. When I was third grade, I went to Chungsim international camp called CSIA. There, it was my first camp so I was very exciting. When I was fourth grade, I went to Seong Gun Gwan university. The system was good and there's no home works so I was happy but the teachers or my roommate wasn't that good. I didn't really appreciate that camp. Thirdly, I went to Philippines with my mom when I was in the fifth grade. The camp was over three month, which is too long for me, so I went there with my mom. I could feel Philippines' hot weather. Finally, I went to GLPS summer and winter. At summer, it was my first time so it was hard to adapt but now, it's easier than the last time and it's very good to meet last teachers who had taught me.
Second, I was used to live in Yeosu when I was third and fourth grade. This is because because my father was appointed to Yeosu and we had to go there. Also, my grandparent's house is in Yeosu. That's very special for me because it is where Korea's second expo exhibited. Many people from the different countries including Koreans came. Because of Expo, Yeosu city became popular around the world.
Finally, I have some glasses that is made by a glasses company named "Harry Potter". Harry Potter company is the most popular company in Korea. That is also important because Harry Potter glasses are expensive and there are other good glasses but I have more than three glasses that are made by Harry Potter. Many people want to change their glasses' design to change their image or their face. So did I. I chose Harry Potter glasses. Many people might think about a Harry Potter books or movies but we should recognize Harry Potter glasses brand, too.
